Help the Homeless

Many people are reluctant to help the homeless due to professional beggars. Sadly there are still many genuinely homeless people out there who would love to receive food, clothes, blankets etc.

Take a homeless person or shelter food, drink, blankets, umbrellas, coats etc. and talk with them to learn their story. Or volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter.

This story of a Preston homeless man who lent his last few pounds to a student so she could get home safely after a night out, and how she repaid him, warms my heart every time I read it.
